-DROP ORANGE LOOP BUT DO NOT FO. Using black yarn begin to surface stitch a line perpendicular to Rnd 10. You won’t be able to complete this line because one side of the ball is still open. You will continue working this line as you complete the remaining Rnds so that is connects to form a circle around the ball. Beginning the line now will make it easier to complete the surface stitching as the ball is still open. When you have completed the line up to the open portion simply drop the loop until you have the line completed. FO and use an invisible join for the last stitch of the line.- SEE PICTURE BELOW

-Using black yarn surface stitch an oval around the closed side of the ball, FO and join with invisible join- SEE PICTURE BELOW

-Pick up dropped orange loop and continue working Rnds-
